To Market, To Market.....

And we're off!  Yep, we're headed to Houston for Internation Quilt Market.  We'll do a bit of "market research" today, we have a business breakfast and a Schoolhouse presentation tomorrow, and the shopping begins on Saturday and continues through Monday.

We're taking all our technology toys with us, so if you aren't fans on Facebook or following us on Twitter, sign up now!  We'll be broadcasting real-time news and photos through those two media.

Now, get out your calendar.  Turn to Sunday, December 12.  Write down "Must attend Market Review Party at TQA at 2pm".!

You're all set!

Pillowcase Sew-a-Thons Scheduled

In order to help us reach our new target of 800-1000 pillowcases for the Samaritan Inn by the end of the year, we have reserved several dates in our classroom area so that you and your friends can come in and help us sew!  These dates are:
  • Tuesday, October 19
  • Tuesday, November 16
  • Tuesday, December 14
Bettepat has graciously cut up some of her stash and made kits for us to sew up!  All you need to do is bring your sewing machine and put the pedal to the metal!

We had a couple of friends join us last Saturday, and they made 15 pillowcases.

We'd love to have you help us with this project!  If you have a group of friends who'd like to sew here on a different date than what we have scheduled, just give us a call.  We'll see what we can work out!

Shoofly Shuffle Table Runner Challenge

Entertaining season is upon us, so we are issuing a challenge to get you motivated!  Our Shoofly Shuffle table runner pattern by Pieced Tree is so simple, yet very versatile.  This runner can be made in a couple of hours using just two coordinating fabrics.  The squares are large enough to highlight your favorite focus fabric.

**Edited October 11
We had our first participant in the challenge!  Diane Vasil brought in her Halloween Shoofly Shuffle and received a free Pieced Tree pattern of her choice.  Will you be next?
