One Week, One Thing - March 12

I'm not late - It IS still Monday, right?  Daylight Savings Time (especially in the Spring) kinda throws me off kilter!

It was a so-so week, but I did accomplish what I set out to do.  Here are all 12 Granny Square blocks made for a baby quilt.  Shower is in June, so I have plenty of time...but, I'd rather get 'er done and move on.
Sorry for the cruddy picture - my design flannel is in front of a window, and photos taken during the day don't come out as well as at night.  The line of fabrics is Backyard Baby from Michael Miller.  I wish I could get this one finished this next week, but there's REAL work cutting in line!

I also finished piecing my EPP Double Diamonds!
I'd like to get this one quilted ASAP too, but it will have to wait also.  :(

For this week, I have a shop sample to begin using Ten Little Things by Jenn Ski for Moda.  It's a layer cake project, and I hope to at least get all the block parts cut out.  Since it is Spring Break, I may have to take my daughter to the mall on my day off, which seriously cuts into my sewing time.  We'll see how it goes.

What's new for you this week?

I was able to finish cutting out and piecing the quilt top for my nephew's quilt last week.

This week I am hoping to get 2 bee blocks done, 2 ticker tape blocks done, and a mug rug finished. And if I"m luck I might try to quilt and bind the nephew's quilt. We shall see!

I finished my backyard babies baby quilt and it looks nothing like yours! Funny how that happens.

Both the quilts are beautiful, but I really like that Double Diamond, it has definitely inspired me. I started working on one, slow and steady. I'm working on 2 aprons that I hope to finish this week, started ironing some fabric I washed for a 1/2 log cabin, will start cutting soon, doing my Ticker Tape blocks and doing my Craftsy blocks. I guess when you write it down it looks like more than you think.

I put up all the fabric from my dad (estate sale goodies). And, I have my Marti and Me project ready to show.

A friend picked up the Lollipop Bag pattern for me recently (it was on my TQA wishlist)...and I will be seeing her on Saturday. So, I want to get a couple of the bags made up in her FAVE colors to give to her then.
